ニコラス=ロウが編纂したシェイクスピア全集。ロウ本と呼ばれる。全集としては初めて編纂者が明示され、挿絵が付け加えられた。また、序文として書かれた "Some Account of the Life, etc. of Mr. William Shakespeare"は史上初のシェイクスピアの伝記とされる。

法律家の父を持ち、自身も法律家であったが父の遺産を相続すると劇作家に転身した。主に悲劇が有名で、1715年には王家から桂冠詩人の称号を与えられた。 |
